Donald M. McHugh is a senior partner of the law firm of McHugh & Macri in East Hanover, New Jersey, formed in 1978. He is a certified elder law attorney (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation (NAELA); past president of the New Jersey chapter of the NAELA (The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys); 2006 chair of the Elder/Disability Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association; chair of the New Jersey Medicaid regulation committee; listed as a Top NJ Attorney in elder law; recipient of the N. J. Bar Association first "Distinguished Service" award in elder/disability law, awarded the AV rating in ethics and expertise, member of NAELA Council of Advanced Practitioners (CAP).

He is a frequent author and lecturer on elder/disability law to civic groups and professional legal societies, including the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education of the New Jersey Bar Association. His practice addresses all aspects of elder and disability law, tax, estate and asset preservation planning to provide for the supplemental needs of disabled and elder clients. He also specializes in probate and Medicaid litigation issues and retirement planning.

Don has handled Medicaid denial litigation from Fair Hearing through the Federal 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals, including the landmark New Jersey ruling In Re Labis which authorized guardians to conduct Medicaid planning.

Vincent Macri is a senior partner of McHugh & Macri, formed in 1978 and is a certified elder law attorney (CELA). He focuses his practice on Medicaid planning and asset protection, Medicaid litigation, guardianships, conservatorships, establishment of Special Needs Trusts and disability litigation. Vince has more than 36 years of trial experience. He is an active member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys; the Elder Law Section of the New Jersey Bar; and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

Vince is a frequent author and has lectured extensively for various professional associations, including accountants and disability support groups, and the Morris County Caregivers Coalition. He has also appeared on numerous radio programs as well as in publications on elder and disability law and planning.

Don and Vince are two of only 325 attorneys nationwide who are certified in elder law (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation.

Richard J. Lutz, Jr. is an associate attorney with 25 years experience and heads the real estate and estate administration departments of the firm.

Adrienne J. Burke is an associate attorney with 24 years experience and a former Essex County Assistant Prosecutor. Adrienne practices in the areas of civil and probate litigation, Medicaid applications and Fair Hearing appeals, and guardianships.
